Freshman Year is a Christian faith-based film about the coming of age of our two young protagonists, an African American male named CJ and a Hispanic female named Marcella. CJ having grown up in a strict Christian household, devoting his life to strong moral choices, clean living, loving and serving God struggles to remain faithful to his beliefs while Marcella, though not reared in a Christian home, has a strict single-mother upbringing and battles making her family proud as they are supporting her education beyond their means. They face being on their own for the first time with its temptations and changes. Both are faced with an ongoing struggle to stay true their beliefs faith amidst the pressures, love, and how to face adversity.
